Drew,Moses and Matthew is coming to Sheffield!! haha. goin to bring them around. but Sheffield is like quite small, so isnt many place to visit. hehe. but they love PUBS! so it's the right place to come! cause Sheffield has got nothing but PUBS. plenty i should say. haha.
Had a lonnggg talk with Maiko yesterday and today. She's really nice. i guess i will miss my flatmates when they return home in june and i'll be making new friends with NEW flatmates.
I'm feeeling confused now. i hoped i can be smarter so i can learn more things. It seems like i dont understand a lot of things. Argghhs!! help me!

I did a SERIOUS mistake today! i add in the wrong chemical into my RNA!! i supposed to add in Dnase and the stupid me put in EDTA instead! i was like SHIT! oh no...... i told Andy about it and he asked me why did i put that in!!! haha. but he said people made mistakes and luckily we have got extra RNA left. So have to repeat the experiment again! so sorry! though he did not scold me, i just have an extreme guilt in me and feel so embrassed to make such a mistake. Anyway what's done cannot be undone. Just hope that i will not repeat it again. :(
Time flies, it's like another week gone again. So i'm left with around 11 weeks! i wanted to go back Singapore quite badly. It's just so LONELY over here. I mean i have got friends here and they are all nice people. BUT we just have got not enough topics to talk about.
I miss my friends in Singapore. EVERYONE of YOU. and of cause my family! My Mum, my dad, my two idiotic brothers. Even though i still get to talk to them and see their monkey faces on the webcam, the feeling is just that different.
Quick!!!!! let it be week 14 and i can get home real soon! tee-hee. Anyway, i promised some pictures. After uploading them, i realised that my 200 strong pictures are maybe around 150 strong only? cause some pictures are repeated and some are sceneries. hehe.

I'm Backkkkkkkkkkkkk! after my weekend trip to London. hehe. i WALKED a lot over there, till my legs are aching now! hmm.. London is quite a beautiful place. but i find it too commercialised liao. i still love Sheffield.*thumb ups*
I feel that we are actually quite li hai in the sense of we went to quite a no. of places in London within 2 days, or maybe 1 day? haha. cause, time was wasted on the first day morning due to the check in and looking for location of International Student House, and of cause we need to leave at around 4pm today to catch our train. hehe.
We went to Big Ben, which is the famous tower with the big clock? haha. and of cause London bridge. Still remember that time my bro was like telling me " be careful when you go to London." i asked "why?" and he replied me " cause LONDON BRIDGE IS FALLING DOWN"
c") my god. damm lame! we also saw the changing of guards, so nice can! but there were A LOT of people there. went a lot of places, but i'm too lazy to name them and post pictures, cause i took nearly 200 pictures! can you believe it! just a London trip alone i used 8 batteries for my camera! oh no..
hehe. London is really crowded. with lots of people everywhere. However, the 3 guys travelling with us, Drew, Moses and Julian toook great care of the 2 ladies. haha. send us to the station where we meet yanyan friend, wait with us for our train at the station when going back to sheffield though their train station is not the same with us. make a call to ensure we are home safely! haha. sooooo, the conclusion is...... can go travelling with the 3 guys! :"P
Yah.. i went to ARSENAL homeground! oh my god! though i cannot go into the stadium, i'm satisfied with the pictures taken outside the gate! hehe. too bad we did not go to the chelsea stadium. sorry Jackson! i also didnt managed to find chelsea jersey for you. *sobz* i saw arsenal one instead. but it was quite ex and s'pore has the same edition. so why should i pay more to bring it back?haha.

i ended work today at around 3 today. earliest among all the days since i came. hehe. I went town myself again to top up my sim card. just in case tml got no money left in the card and i couldnt make a phone call to find the guys. hehe. Anyway, i finally finish my spagetti sauce today and i ate it like for at least 7 times! and the whole week i was eating that. FINALLY. today is my LUNAR birthday and mum reminded me to cook myself 2 hard boil eggs. and i did. hehe. 生日快乐!!

cant believe that time flies! i'm getting my results later. yes, a few more hours.wish me luck ya?
i did microinjection today, this time i have to try to fixed the needle in and do it step by step. i admit i'm afraid. well, initially i'm quite scared of andy. but as time goes by, i think he's a real good guy. hehe.
Well, the whole lab knows i'm afraid of cold. cause i'm basically wrapped up from HEAD to TOE everyday.then today i was in the microscope room with andy, listening to the radio. the forecast said that it's 2 degrees tonight! oh my god, so i was telling him about the radiator in my room doesnt work at all except on saturday. Then he told me he got a portable radiator and can lend me! yippe! no more cold nights! hee.. the best thing is he's so nice that he offers to send the radiator to my flat, though i told him i can bring it over myself. he say i will not have strength to carry all the way back.haha. he even offer me the telly, but it's ok! dont wan to trouble him so muchhh! thanks!!
I got to work on my report now. tml have to show it to Andy liao. he'll help me check it before i submit to my LO in Singapore. hehe!

I finished work quite early today, at around 3pm. But i got to hang around in the lab till 5pm cause i need to marble the tanks today! so surf the net lor. BUT! at around 4pm, the fire alarm rang.. i thought it was just a exercise, as they have fire exercise on every tuesday morning. so i CONTINUE to surf the net when Claire come into the room and said:" come'on let's go, it's REAL." so as usual i followed the crowd cause i might just get lost in the uni. haha. When we reach the assembly point, i saw crowds of students wearing lab coats! haha. just like when we are studying. Everybody thought that it's just an exercise. But the fire engine siren seems to be getting louder and nearer to us. and yes indeed! it stop at the foot of the building. So it was REAL lor.
Anyway, i also stunned that day when i saw this.

Hmm.. i ended work quite early today. at around 3.30pm? hehe. then we WALKED to the train station to check out our tickets to London. I realised i walked a lot today. In the morning, i walked to the uni then to the hospital.Then I walked back to the Uni for another conference and after that, i walked back to the hospital AGAIN! after that i walked to the train station which is around 30 minutes. and WALKED back to my flat.haha confusing?
Anyway i got my train tickets! too bad it's quite rush for us, if not we can get cheaper tickets if we booked like 7 days in advance. We've to settle for the 3 days in advance tickets. We wanted to buy the 26 pounds standard tickets intially. But the guy told us there isn't anymore left except for the 5.00AM train. No wonder there's seats left. But we bought the FIRST CLASS tickets instead for an extra 4 pounds. It's not so bad right? extra 4 pounds and we get to have a taste of travelling 1st class. Anyway the tickets cause 30 pounds, to and fro. hehe.
On our way home, we walked past city centre and saw really beautiful buildings and of course a typical ME, took pictures!

hehe. i'm so proud of myself today. i COOKED chicken rice today! hehe.. with my mum help, i really managed to whip up the dish today. Cecile tried it and she says it's nice! well.. might be ke qi hua, but i enjoyed eating it. my first attempt mah.
Today's weather is really good. i think it's the day with the most sunlight since i stepped into SHeffield. hehe. then i went to city center ALONE! haha.. i tried out another route through west street. not bad. still can make my way there. i was the kind of girl that will not go shopping alone. but seriously shopping alone is not that bad really. but i will only do it in SHEFFIELD. i want to shop with my darlings in SINGAPORE!!!
The stuff here is quite expensive. and i saw a pair of slippers that i really like.. but it cost 39.95 pounds!! my god! but it's a good brand.
Andrew called me just now and asked us to go LOndon next weekend! oh my.. so rush! but Julian's parents got us accomodation at cheap rate. so we just need to get train tix. shld not be a prob! hehe. excited!

I finally went to the big tesco located at infirmary road today! and we managed to find our way there by OURSELVES. so proud of myself.hehe.i bought a lot of stuff cause yanyan already got hers last week. Yeapp.. i got chicken to eat now! haha. i bought lots of yogurt too! initially i wanted to buy only 6, cause 6 for 2 pounds.. but as i walked on i saw the buy 1 get 1 free package. so being a TYPICAL Singaporean, i definately take the cheaper one. But they are EXACTLY the same. so why not? anyway i can keep them in the fridge mah. :"P
The super market is quite big, something like Careffour, but smaller. maybe only 1 storey? they sell super cute cakes there can! i was taking the pictures then a ang moh lady beside me was smiling at me. She must be wondering " what a gerl! didnt even see cakes before?" haha.

Emm.. did i mention that Andy told me and Jane on Friday :" Ok, you girls got to do a presentation on Monday." i was like thinking" oh shit! i dont even know a single thing on what i'm doing, how to present??" ok, i knew a LITTLE bit on my stuff. but not to an extend of doing a presentation! i went to conferences before, where people present what they are researching on. and after that people just bombard them with questions i couldn't understand! well, i couldn't understand anything in the first place. So i just cant imagine myself standing in front and just smile. hehe.But luckily Jane cant come on Monday, so no presentation. But she mention: " well, Simin can do it ." and i was like.. " no! i cant!! " Save me!!!!!!!!!!

Hello! emm.. it's Friday again! Yippe! hehe. didnt really do a lot of stuff in the lab today, cause Andy only came in @ around 12pm and so i spend the earlier 3 hrs like staring and reading and trying to write my report. Obviously i didnt finish a quater of it. :"P
Extracted RNA of the embryos and we went to the hospital together. It's seems complicated. Very. we were like turning in circles and circles and suddenly we reached. haha. Then after that Andy treat me and Jane and Paul a drink in a pub. A pub again! but it's another nice pub.. haha..but this time with old ladies and old men in it. Andy isn't old. haha. his son is just like 2 months old. so cute! He said he will bring me to a place to eat salmon curry! haha.. *drooling*

I had a super long day today! reached home @ around 6.45pm. i knew u guys must be thinking " what! 6.45pm still say late ah!" haha, but considering my school is only 10 minutes walk away from my flat, it's late can! and i did end school early for the past few days, so i cant complain much. whatever. i dechorinated the embryos again today, and they were swimming around. so nice! as they were 48 hrs old, their tails were like straightening and eyes were big! teehee. then i did fixation, didnt know there's so many different ways to do for different fishes. :")
hehe. but i did learn a lot of things within the 2 weeks here, i guess maybe i'll not learn and handle such equipments so frequently in S'pore cause teachers will be telling us, " This machine cost a few millions, pls do not anyhow touch it" haha! true?
Em, had biscuits and yogurt for dinner just now. the yogurt is toffee flavour, it did taste weird.

i went to the supermarket ALONE today. bought a damm coleslaw. it taste like yucks. Cabbage, carrots and onions. I think i prefer LJS coleslaw! i want to eat that! :~(

I talked to Claire today, and i told her about the pizza incident and that i cant cook. So before that, she was telling me she could bring me to the chinese supermarket, but after that she said :" well, i dont think i need to bring you there, since you cant cook!" oh god, so pai seh! haa...

yippe! it's my second tuesday here! soon it will be the 15 tuesday. I did microinjection today. It's was quite tough because i need to poke the fine needle into the embroyo and aim for the cell on the yolk. Eeeeeks. If u're not careful, haha. the yolk will smudge all over. Well, i hope i did a good job, because i don't want to fail my OIAP! hate it. cause i'm wasting money if i fail. CHOY! :P
