Interestingly, it just applies to all people i guess.
How good would it be to know you could be in control of yourself as a relationship develops, and make sure that develops in the best way for both of you?
The law of scarcity means that when we can't have something, we want it more. And when we know we can have as much as we want of something, we want it less.
Grasp this, and you will be able to meet, and keep interested, the date of your dreams.
Imagine you are a looking at a plate, with one small chunk of the finest bar of milk chocolate on it. There is a sign next to it, which says, "This chocolate is the finest chocolate in the world. It is so rare, it is only sold in a handful of shops around the world".
Assuming you like eating chocolate, the odds are by this point, you would be very excited about trying this one small chunk of chocolate. And once you'd eaten it, you'd probably very much look forward to the next time you tried it.
Now imagine another plate, piled high with chunks of chocolate. The sign says "Eat as much as you can of this chocolate, we just can't get rid of it quickly enough". You'd soon become bored of eating the free chocolate they can't shift, because there would be nothing special about it.
In dating, as you go through that awkward and difficult process of getting to know someone, it is important to apply the law of scarcity. If you give someone diamonds every day, they won't be special anymore, because they know they can have diamonds from you all the time.
If, when you first start dating someone, you call them every day, they'll never wake up in the morning and say to themselves, "wouldn't it be fantastic if they called me today?!", because they know you will call them.
The words "I love you" are a great example of how you can apply the law of scarcity. If you occasionally tell your partner that you love them, they'll know that you mean it, and cherish each and every time that you say "I love you".
If you tell your partner, "I love you", 50 times a day, the words will lose their appeal. Isn't it incredible how in this instance, the very same words, have far less value, because they're uttered so regularly.
I have a friend who wanted very much to find a man she could fall in love with. Every time she'd meet a guy, she'd be texting him and calling him the next day, sometimes two or three times. Guys would never be interested, and she just didn't realize it was because they perceived her as being too available.
After I told her about the law of scarcity, things changed. She decided to wait a few days before ringing a guy she was interested in, or she'd let them call her, and of course men became a lot more interested in her. She's now married...
Remember the law of scarcity, and make sure you are the chunk of rare chocolate that your partner wants more of.

Luke's leaving today at 7am!! so me and sunday went to meet up with him for a dinner cum coffee session at plaza sing on wed.

It's the last week of work!
Well, i can say that i've been waiting for this day ever since the first few weeks?
Things aint really good in the office and it surely pissed me off sometimes.
But i shall not be bother anymor because i will be freed! hehe.
As usual, went to work on weekends. i think i will be asking for a change of environment soon. shall not update bout the politics there. *sigh*
this coming week will be exciting!
Meeting up with caiying for a movie. and then to meet up with luke and missy sunday for a dinner and perhaps another movie too. Luke is leaving on friday for his studies already. and thennnn, thursday will be joelle's 21st bday!! hehe.
This woman's theme is pink. hmm, not considering tough for the ladies. But the guys are complaining!

and the next best thing. i'm not working on weekends.

This is actually a overdue post.
Last thursday was my graduation!!!
my god. i'm like officially graduated from Ngee Ann poly. All the memories that it had brought to me during these 2 years, all the laughter, joy, tears.
I expect myself to at least teared, just like sec sch and JC. but suprisingly, i didnt.
Maybe it's because of the atmosphere and the environment? everybody were enjoying themselves during the ceremony.
Graduation put a full-stop in some of our education lives. For me, i haven figure out where should i go and what should i do. just keeping my fingers crossed . that's all.
I miss Joanna, who didnt turn up for graduation because of some personal reason. I hope you are feeling ok already girl. Remember, i'll always be here for you k?

Weekends were spent working at livepowerhub. as usual, nothing special.
However, i'm wasnt really happy this weekend. The moment i stepped into the shop, the exes started to haunt me because of my stocks. (fyi, i didnt work for 3 weeks in livepowerhub because of pc show and commitments) SOOOOoo naturally i wouldnt know what is the players they sold etc. In the end, customers dont know how to use the players, and they came back thinking that something is wrong. but there's isnt for some cases! and they started saying my players were bad etc. Sigh, i was quite sad lah. :(
Sometimes, i really dont know what to say. is it a good thing to work in my company? if i didnt work there, so many things wouldnt happen.
but like what darling says, things happen for a reason, soooo. arghsssss!

wanted to watch the omen too during the weekend, but in the end i didnt. Shall not mention why, but i was feeling a bit angry actually. the reason is not really valid. but nvm, maybe there isnt a next time.

My supervisor didnt hand in my timesheet on 1st june. so now, i have to wait till either end of june or early july to get my pay. VERY GOOD.
and i called up my HR to varify it.

Elaine( HR): oh hi ashley! How are you? anyway, regarding your pay, Sharon only handed me yours and nick's timesheet on friday. so you guys can only get your pay at either end of june or early july.
Me: huh, but i gave it to her on 30th May. I didnt realise that she didnt give them to you. But i know she's kinda busy.
Elaine: yah lor. Poor thing leh you, maybe you can get pocket money from mummy and daddy first. If not NCS's pantry has got lots of milo for you to drink. (LOL)
Me: haha.!! huh.. like that i have to drink milo for the rest of june?!

The long awaited PC show is finally over.
Phew!
I was working there for the whole 4 days, and the number of people who turned up is just HORRIBLE.
The worst thing is, since i'm such a shortie, i actually find difficulties in breathing and squeezing through the crowd when i was put of my booth, looking for my lao ban.
Yes, It's that horrible.
However, sales were like so much better than the previous IT fair. We should be able to hit our target since almost all the models of our mp4 players went out of stock when the clock strikes 7. hehe.
The funny thing about singaporeans is that people always wait till the very last minute then they came rushing into the exhibition hall and start their shopping spree.
Look at my customers, i already told them that the freebies are running out, the models are running out of colours and stock but then they still insist of going one more round in the hall.
In the end. they ended up either with a player without any speakers, or dont even gget to buy because the stocks are all out.
Another funny thing is that they like to ask me to hold on to the players that were going out for the hourly special.
It's supposed to be first come first serve basis isnt it? sigh.
Even though after the show i'm ended up with cuts on my finger, sore throat, 2 big blisters and also leg aches,
BUT!
I still enjoy working in the show because of the new people i get to meet, new friends made, and most importantly i enjoyed working in the company. Great people, good fun.
yippeee!!! 22 more working days to the end of my contract!
